What is Teachify?

Teachify is the UK's leading generative AI EdTech company. We are the only company in the UK that accurately tailors teaching resources to the latest UK exam specifications, including AQA, OCR and Edexcel for GCSE and A-Level.

How did it start?

Teachify is the brainchild of co-founders Ikum Kandola and Frank Crossley. It grew from an idea that the pair had in their final year of University, both studying Computer Science at the University of Birmingham. The pair both came from families with teachers who spent much of their freetime planning lessons. They thought that this was an injustice. Frank and Ikum were also experienced tutors at the time, and both spent a lot of time outside of their lessons planning for them.

How did it grow?

Teachify has had zero funding or investment, which is extremely rare in this space. We have grown with the help of interns from the University of Birmingham incubator program as well as countless hours of hardwork and dedication from Frank and Ikum outside of their day job. Our user base has grown completely organically, and the growth has been accelerated by notable events such as the winning of Theo Paphitis' Small Business Sunday award and becoming a finalist for UK Startup Awards Midlands.
